For those who like to read action/mystery/spy fiction, and may not know, Vince Flynn’s hero, Mitch Rapp, has been compared to Jack Bauer, of the television series, 24.

Mitch Rapp is sorta the ultimate terrorist stopping badass. When the government needs a terrorist captured or taken out, they put the call out – get Mitch Rapp. His actual identity is kept secret, known only to the highest echelons of the government and the intelligence communities. Most of few people in government who do know he exists, know him simply by his Call Sign -- Iron Man.

Vince Flynn wrote a large series of novels with Mitch Rapp as the hero. His first Rapp novel, Transfer of Power, was published in 1999. By 2013, Flynn had finished twelve novels with Rapp as the hero. In 2013, Flynn died of cancer. Since then, a new author has taken up the series. The Last Man was published in 2014, after Flynn died. The thirteen Mitch Rapp books authored by Flynn are:

1 Transfer of Power

2 The Third Option

3 Separation of Power

4 Executive Power

5 Memorial Day

6 Consent to Kill

7 Act of Treason

8 Protect and Defend

9 Extreme Measures

10 Pursuit of Honor

11 American Assassin

12 Kill Shot

13 The Last Man

In 2015, Kyle Mills took over as the author and the driving force behind Mitch Rapp. Mills has written two more books featuring Mitch Rapp, The Survivor and Order to Kill. I haven’t read the two newest books, so I can’t comment on them, but the first thirteen are great and exciting reads.
