Doctor Bruce Grayson, editor of the Handbook of Near-Death Experiences: Thirty Years of Investigation, wrote of the book, Proof of Heaven. It is an awe-inspiring account of a profound encounter with spiritual reality. Dr. Alexander’s neuroscience career taught him that near-death experiences are brain-based illusions, and yet his personal experience with near death experiences left him dumbstruck. His honest struggle to make sense of this unforgettable journey is a gripping story, unique in the literature of spiritual experiences, that may well change how we understand our role in the universe.”
Doctor Alexander brought a unique perspective to the world. He combines a personal vision of spiritual consciousness with patient, insightful scientific inquiry. Proof of Heaven is a compelling story of what may lie ahead for all of us in the life beyond this one. We have nothing to fear.
Proof of Heaven is the real life account of Dr. Alexander’s experiences of a period when an illness had left him essentially dead. Then, he came back to life with a full account of what he saw and who he met when he was in Heaven. All while being dead.
One of the most moving portions of the book came near the end, when the author revealed that in his time on the other side, he met a woman who told him she was his sister. He did not know her and had known he even had a sister. After he came back, he looked through family photographs and saw a picture of that woman. He learned that she was his sister who had died when he was very young. The sister knew him, but he had never known about her, or that he even had a sister. There was the proof that his time in Heaven and the people he’d met were real. When I read that section, I got a chill.
I highly recommend Proof of Heaven. It’s interesting, emotional and inspiring.
It’s a good read.
